This course focuses on Music performance, theory and development. Past students have benefited from our individual and group centered cooperative learning approach.
Students put on a number of performances throughout the year in the Academy and in the community which give them the opportunity to use their new skills and gain experience.

This course is open to people aged 16 – 35. Leaving Certificate Music or Music Theory Grade 3 would be desirable.
Music Industry Studies 5N1458
This programme aims to equip the learner with the knowledge of the music industry to enable the learner to work independently and or under supervision in this area.

This programme aims to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence in functional musicianship, aural awareness and arrangement.

This programme aims to equip the learner with the knowledge and competence to perform music in a variety of contexts.

This programme aims to equip the learner with the relevant knowledge, skill and competence to communicate verbally and non-verbally in standard everyday tasks and in work-related tasks, operating independently while under general direction.
Teamwork 5N1367
This programme aims to equip the learner with the relevant knowledge, skill and competence to work as an effective member of a team, operating independently while under general direction and within a range of diverse, team-oriented environments.
Work Experience 5N1356
This programme aims to equip the learner with the relevant knowledge, skill and competence to participate in the workplace for a limited time, carrying out work-related tasks independently while under general direction.
Safety and Health at Work 5N1794
This programme aims to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to promote and maintain safety and health in a work environment.
Sound Engineering and Production 5N1900
This programme aims to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to work independently and under supervision in a sound engineering and production environment and develop an awareness of present audio technological developments.
